Frank Pepe Pizza

Frank Pepe Pizza

While passing through Connecticut I began researching the must-eat-at restaurants, as I always do. The winner was very clear- Frank Pepe. I could not escape the amount of amazing reviews, so of course we had to check it out. We set our GPS to the original location in New Haven, CT (adorable downtown by the way, wish we spent more time there) and ohhhhh man. Yum.

We eat a fair amount of pizza, so we were not expecting anything insane, probably just some good pizza, right? Wrong. Amazing pizza. Like, really delicious, crispy wood fired pizza.

Crispy to Perfection

We tried the ‘Original Tomato Pie’ and the Spinach Mushroom and Gorgonzola. We reeeeealllly wanted the White Clam Pizza- supposed to be insane- but of course they had already sold out. Waahhh. Both pizzas were delicious, but we really loved the Original Tomato Pie, so simple and so perfect. The restaurant itself was also adorable and felt like you were stepping back in time. The line was out the door and formed a huge crowd, so we opted for to-go and chowed down in the camper parked down the road 🙂

Final Thoughts: Go. Order multiple (especially if you can get the Clam pizza!)
