Strolling around Carvins Cove

Carvins Cove, Virginia- I had read so many great things.  Beautiful water. Amazing Views.  Yes, this was all true.  Overhyped? Possibly.  We went on a beautiful day to take a short walk around the lake.  The water was very blue and oddly clear.  Why were we bored?

I mean I get it.  It is very pretty.  But the little mermaid in me made me say.. but I want moooorrrreeee.  Maybe it was because we showed up during the “in between” time (which turned into a pattern for us…) when it wasn’t hot enough to enjoy the beautiful water, but it also wasn’t cold enough for the leaves to give us a colorful show.

It was a lovely walk, but for some reason we wanted more from it?

By the looks of it, summer time would be perfect here as they had paddle boats, canoes and a swimming area set up to enjoy.
